How to reach us and storage information
Meeting point is in the center of Amalfi at Lido delle Sirene beach, in the port area, 5 minutes on foot far from the main square.
How to reach Amalfi
From Amalfi Coast towns, Sorrento and Salerno
On foot: You can easily reach Amalfi through a short walk or taking some (hundreds!) steps down to town if you're staying in a nearby village, such us Atrani, Pontone, Pogerola, Ravello or Scala.
By ferry (from Positano, Salerno, Cetara, Maiori, Minori only): If you're staying in one of these towns you can reach Amalfi by public ferry. This will drop you off at Pennello pier; from there just walk to Lido delle Sirene beach, it takes two minutes.
Please check that the ferry service is running on the official ferry company website travelmar.it/en/hours
Please note: ferries might not run in case of bad weather.
By bus: Amalfi is the Amalfi Coast bus terminal, so you can get in town from pretty much any place of the Coast by direct bus, from Sorrento to Salerno. Lido delle Sirene beach is 5 minutes on foot far from the bus terminal.
Tickets CANNOT be bought on board, you need to buy them before to get on the bus.
Bus schedules can be checked on sitasudtrasporti.it/orari (select Campania).
By car (not recommended due to the very few parking spots available): If you are coming by car you should consider to arrive at least a hour early in order to be sure to find parking (there are very few spots available in town).
Car parking: BERMA Parking, right next to the beach (closed on Wednesdays).
Alternative parking open 24/7: LUNA ROSSA Parking, on the other side of the town (15 minutes on foot far).
DO NOT leave the car parked on the road: it might be removed by the police with a fine.
From Naples, Rome and anywhere else
If you're coming from farther away you should get to Salerno first by bus or by train (train only, if you're coming from Rome), and once there get to Amalfi by ferry or by bus following the instructions above.
Bus schedules: sitasudtrasporti.it/orari (select Campania)
Train schedules: trenitalia.com/en.html
Tickets CANNOT be bought on board, you need to buy them before to get on the bus or train.
All the participants will be provided with dry bags in which personal belongings such as wallets, phones and cameras can be stored. These bags will be then stored into the waterproof compartments of the kayaks for extra protection.
Backpacks and luggage can be left in a safe space on the beach or brought with us if they fit in the waterproof compartments of the kayaks.
