Itinerary

Itinerary

The Capri Island tour begins in Amalfi, where our private boat will take us and the kayaks to the lovely island of Capri.
The boat transfer takes about 45 minutes and will give us a breathtaking
view of the Amalfi Coast, Li Galli Island and the Sorrento Peninsula from the sea.

Once we arrive on the island we will get ready to begin the tour by putting our kayaks in the water and life jackets on.

For those who have never been in a kayak there will be a short
introductory lesson on how to kayak and safety at sea.

The first sight just beyond the starting point will be Villa Jovis, the most magnificent of all roman Emperor Tiberius' island residences, followed by the Rock Window To The Sky, a large cavity in the mountains created over the span of millions of years by a special wind current.

A little later we will arrive at the worldwide famous Faraglioni Rocks, three rocky columns also known as the guardians of Capri, formed over time through a coastal geomorphological process.
Once here we will be able to pass through one of these rocks via a
rock tunnel formed on the inside.

Then we will reach the bay of Marina Piccola, one of the two main beaches where it’s possible to dock on the island and have a look on foot.

After our break we will visit a complex of many interconnecting sea caves accessible only by kayak, including the Green Grotto (Grotta Verde), where the water is crystal clear and perfect for snorkeling.

Next we will go around the island where we will find the Lighthouse of Punta Carena and continue to paddle up to the most famous attraction of the Island: the Blue Grotto (Grotta Azzurra).
This cave extends some 50 meters into the cliff at the surface, and is about 150 meters deep. The sunlight passing through an underwater cavity creates the famous blue reflection that illuminates the cavern. Depending on the time of arrival, we might be able to visit the grotto by swimming or by special boats (extra fee).

After visiting the Blue Grotto, our boat will bring us back to Amalfi. This will give us the chance to conclude our trip with a magnificent view of the sunset as a backdrop to one of the world's most beautiful islands.
